IMT-Advanced: The next ten years

Together with Najah Abu Ali and Hossam Hassanein, will be presenting a tutorial on the evolution o IMT-Advanced in the next ten years.

The tutorial will be presented at IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC’11) on Thursday June 9, 2011.

Paper accepted in P2MNET@LCN

Paper titled “A performance comparison of frame structures in WiMax Relay Networks” has been accepted in LCN’s P2MNET. The paper is co-authored by Pandeli Kolomitro, a MSc at Queen’s School of Computing, and Dr. Hossam Hassanein.

Wireless Broadband in 2020

Best paper award at IWCMC’10

My paper with students Khalid Elgazzar (PhD candidate), Mohamed Salah (MSc student) and Professor Hossam Hassanein titled “Comparing Uplink Schedulers for LTE” received a Best Paper Award at the Sixth International Wireless & Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC 2010) held in Caen, France.

Congratulations Khalid and Mohamed on a job well done!
